Hi! I never thought I’d do one of these, but the past 2 weeks have been rough financially. My daughter needed an Osteochondroma removed from her right femur, so we traveled all the way to Portland for Shriner’s children’s hospital and had booked a motel room for 4 days. (It’s a day surgery but the surgeon wanted to see her the day before in clinic). We weren’t eligible for the Ronald McDonald house due to it being a day surgery.

Still, it’s surgery on her femur though.

So just hours before surgery on (2/13/25), the sudden snow fall in Portland had Shriner’s cancelling the surgery (2/14/25). I was unable to refund the 4 days in the motel. I simultaneously have my truck in the mechanic shop and rented a vehicle from enterprise. The hospital was unable to reimburse any of those costs for that empty trip. They did, however, reschedule her surgery at Shriner’s 1 week later (2/21/25) and so I extended the car rental and booked 3 days at best western in Portland. Overall, I just need a little help to make sure necessary bills get paid and my kids are fed until I get paid again in 2 weeks. Any help at all is so greatly appreciated! Seriously thank you from the bottom of my heart
