Hello,

As many of you know, Dasha and her family (Noemi, Jaime and her little brother) were taken by ICE while enjoying a day at the park Sunday afternoon. While Jaime was hauled to Broadview, Noemi and the kids were sent to O'hare which was not equipped to hold anyone more than a few hours. After essentially being kidnapped and told nothing, they endured three days of complete unknown. Jaime was mistakenly sent to Texas, but with the help of NIJC, Noemi, Dasha, and her brother were finally sent home early Wednesday evening.

They still await court, but there is already concern about October rent (with Jaime gone and not able to work) and what comes after their hearing.

I have been in communication with their pastor and he will be able to get the family any money we raise to help with these costs. Please help rebuild faith in our community while others try to tear it down! Anything you give will help!
