Darryl Dean Farley, a loving father, grandfather and friend is currently in a coma. He suffered a stroke on May 22, 2024, losing function on the right side of his body with partial paralysis. During that time, we were still hoping for a full recovery. Unfortunately, on June 1, 2024, I received a call from the hospital with news that my father’s medical state was declining resulting in unresponsiveness. I was informed that he contracted meningitis during his time at the hospital, which is a viral infection that attacked both his brain and spinal cord, leaving him in a coma. We still remain hopeful and pray for a miracle, and that my father will regain consciousness leading him back to a road of recovery. I am creating this go fund me to assist with his expenses, majority consists of his monthly rent. We are still unsure of if, or when he will recover. The rest of the proceeds will insure a smooth transition since he will no longer be able to work. In the event that he does not recover, my family will be using the money for a proper funeral for my father. Thank you for anyone who helps out with donations and prayers. - UPDATE: On June 4th, 2024 Darryl had a second stroke with severe swelling to his brain, the same day he was transferred to a new hospital and underwent craniotomy surgery.
