On January 12, 2019, Darryl Crowe passed away surrounded by family at Haliburton Hospital after a courageous battle with Cancer. To mark the one year anniversary of his passing and to continue moving forward with his memory, the family is honouring his legacy and celebrating his life by raising funds, awareness, and support for three distinct causes:
1. the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation Palliative Care Centre (HHHSF-PCC) who provided such great care and commitment to him during his final days,
2. Stand Up To Cancer Canada (SU2C Canada), a program of EIF Canada, which aims to build broad support for a groundbreaking “translational” research model that can produce meaningful advances in cancer treatment, and
3. a scholarship for local area students with a passion and affinity for music and/or woodworking.
Our goal is to honour Darryl’s memory by supporting local health care provision to enable cancer patients and their families to receive quality care in their community, to support advancements in treatment programs for patients and those living with cancer, and to enable opportunities for the next generation to continue to pursue Darryl’s passions.
