Hi everyone. My dad, as most of you know recently had an accident leaving him paralyzed from the chest down in early June. This was very unexpected and devastating to our family. Due to the nature of my Dad's injuries, we are currently struggling to stay on top of the bills and other necessities to meet my dad & little Ralphie needs. We are also needing to move my Dad into a handicap accessible home so Dad can have the support he needs to get through physical therapy and the healing process from such a life changing injury.
I was recently let go at my job due to lack of business and they shut the doors. I start a new job this week but with the ongoing expenses, and anticipated further expenses to aide in my Dad's recovery, we could use all of the support available to us.
As of right now we are being told he will never walk again, and right now my Dad could use all of the love and support he can get.
Unfortunately, Craig hospital won’t take him in until we find new housing so this has become a 911 situation. Craig Hospital is a world-renowned rehabilitation hospital that exclusively specializes in neurorehabilitation and research for individuals with spinal cord injury and brain injury. They told us my dad is a perfect candidate but won’t take him unless we have a good discharge plan including the housing. This will give my dad the best chance of gaining any function back we need to get him into Craig.
Ever since my grandma passed it’s just been my father and I with little family here. All proceeds will go to hospital bills, overdue bills, and a handicap accessible housing.
We sincerely appreciate any financial contribution, and ask for your prayers and healing thoughts for my Dad as we navigate through this difficult time. I did change the donation amount due to sitting down and going over all finances, bills, and overdue bills. I think it’s a better goal for my dad and I. I will hopefully soon be planning a fundraiser and the underground and for all the poker friends we are trying to figure out a poker fundraiser! Anything Truly helps.
