Darrien's Trip of Service: Gambia

Peace,

I would first like to thank you for taking the time to learn about who I am and my aspirations in life. 


My name is Darrien Johnson. I am seventeen years of age and I attend Sankofa Freedom Academy Charter School, located in Philadelphia, PA. 

At my school, it is mandatory that we complete a service trip. I have chosen to go to Gambia. While there, my peers and I are expected to experience the lives of others and help to better their living conditions. 

 
I have created a GoFundMe in hopes that I will receive financial assistance in support of my dreams to attend my national service trip. 


Not only will I get the opportunity to connect with my African brothers and sisters, I will also have the honor of paying homage to my African ancestors.
