Please help Darren get a new home

Darren has asked me to thank each and everyone of you for every donation that he has received. He is totally overwhelmed by your generosity. He is in good spirits generally and hopeful of getting a replacement home ASAP

We as a family are totally overwhelmed by the love and support received for Darren. We have increased the limit in the hope that he will, with the settlement from the insurance, be able to replace the Camper.

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We as a family are reaching out today with hope.

We are raising funds to help Darren Fredrick Deards to rebuild his life after a fire decimated his home in Tenerife.

Darren has been living and working on The Rock for more than 30 years and until recently had a rented apartment that he lived in for more than 20 years.

Due to rent increases and lack of affordable long term rentals on the island. He, like many others, found himself in a situation that meant he could be potentially homeless.

He made the decision to get a loan from the bank to purchase a camper van to live in, in the hope that the shortage of affordable accommodation would improve in the future and settled into what was to be his new hone.

Yesterday a fire ripped through the vehicle leaving Darren with nothing but the clothes he stood in and a burnt out shell that was his home.

The funds raised will go directly to Darren to help replace his personal belongs and rebuild his life.[
