Darkness Into Light 2026

On Saturday 9th May we are hosting a Darkness into Light Walk, which will be a 10km walk at the coast for sunrise. Starting at Whitley Bay and walking to Tynemouth, with a wee coffee and chat after.

Some of you may have heard of it as it started in Ireland and since 2024, Newcastle GAA have brought it to Newcastle. The reason behind it is to raise awareness and hope in the fight against suicide and self harm. We have set up a gofundme page for the charity. Anyone who wants to take part in the event or donate to this amazing charity, can do via the link in bio. Doesn’t matter how big or small the donation is, all is greatly appreciated. ️

Yellow clothing is encouraged but not required. We will be meeting at 4.15am and will start walking at 4.30am. The event takes place at Whitley Bay Links Common (adjacent to the bottom of Monkseaton Drive A1148, Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear, NE26 1SZ). Please give this a share and spread the word.
