Hello everyone my name is jaymie i am Darcie’s auntie/goddmother just thought I’d pop on here as I’m feeling very heavy hearted about what my sister and her family are going threw (they are unaware of what I’m about to post as I know they wouldn’t expect any help)

My sister Amanda had her 20-week scan in August 2024 at the scan they discovered their baby had a heart problem which for any parents is a shock to the system and very scary. They were referred to Queen Charlottes, where they found out she had the Right aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery and a vascular ring and ASD.

At 28 weeks, they found out she had fluid on the brain. Which led to Amanda having the amniocentesis test done at 32 weeks which was October 2024 is when they found out their baby had Down syndrome.

Amanda spent 6 long weeks in and out of hospital until our beautiful Darcie was born, which she was 4 weeks premature.

Darcie has then spent a very long time over 4 months in and out of hospital.

Darcie has a variety of medical conditions which include down syndrome, Low muscle tone, Hypermobitily, Low thyroid, ASD, Right aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery, Vascular ring 2 of these.

Our beautiful Darcie is currently in Brompton hospital as needed emergency heart surgery to repair the heart and cut the rings. is currently in ICU, where she will remains as she isn't doing very well.

Our beautiful Darcie is on heart medication,Nebuliser, Cpap, Optiflow and all other medications to keep her fighting through. Her upper airways are restricted, as she is finding it very hard to breathe, so they are looking at ventilating her to help with the breathing. Please please please with the magic of social media can we raise a little something, I know this won’t take any of what’s going on away but at least there’s something there for our beautiful Darcie and her family to have as a little bit of support when needed ❤️
