For those of you who don't know me my name is Jeff Hunter. I am a father of 2 boys and we live in Nashville, TN. My family has been blessed not to have experienced what I am sharing with you today.
In November I met Michelle Dare who had recently moved from Omaha, Nebraska to Nashville with her 2 sons, Randen 14 and Braden 11.
Over the next several weeks I learned their story of having been evicted from their home in Omaha and moving to Nashville with only a few personal items that fit into their vehicle moving in with her oldest daughter, Shala, a recent college graduate, and her 2 roommates in small 2 bedroom home on the west side of Nashville.
Obviously, not a sustainable situation, but one of neccessity.
My goal is to raise enough money to get Michelle and her chldren into a home before Christmas and helping them furnish the home with neccessities needing basically everything.
I would also like to have enough money on hand to provide for a Christmas for the family along with adequate funds to cover their expeneses for 120 days while they get back on their feet.
Her husband Troy, who was incarcerated over the eviction is arriving in Nashville this week to rejoin the family. A skilled carpenter he will be seeking a job which should not be a problem here but he lost all of his tools which will need to be replaced.
If we were able to collectly support this family and these children in finding them a home for Christmas it would be the most fulfilling wish I have for the Holidays.
Thanks you for your consideration and Merry Christmas!
