Our names are Kate and Mary Darcy and we are excited to share that we will be volunteering with The Olive Branch for Children (TOBFC) in the Mbeya Region of Tanzania this June. Kate is a secondary school teacher in St. Munchins College in Limerick and Mary is following suit studying business and religion secondary teaching in Mary I in Thurles. We will be teaching in some of the most remote areas, supporting TOBFC’s mission to empower vulnerable communities through education and community programs. We will spend a month working with both Montessori and Primary School students in Mbeya and the remote villages also. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful work and look forward to making a difference alongside the dedicated teams and communities we will serve.
