Hi, my name is Brooke and I am fundraising for my Granddaughter and her family. Lil Miss Darcie has been fighting a condition that affects her heart and lungs for months now. Many months and doctor's visits later, we are finally getting much needed help. We are at the beginning so I really don't have a lot of information at the moment, but will update as the information comes. We do know that her heart is very sick and it is a rare condition. Miss Darcie went in for a routine Dr's appointment on September 1st for vaccinations. That's when the heart murmur was found. From there she was transported and admitted to Portsmouth Hospital...then from there she was transported and admitted to CHKD. Miss Darcie has her Mom (Chelsea) and Dad (Jacob) and her big brother, Liam (2 yrs old) who absolutely adores his Sissy. Darcies' parents are both Military (Navy) both are also full-time College Students with full-time jobs. The Military is taking care of the financial side of the medical expenses. This fundraiser is for their traveling expenses and anything else that may pop up unexpectedly. Because, they're not looking at days or weeks of traveling back and forth, they are looking at months and months. Dad is active duty and Mom is Reserves with a full-time job. We are not sure how much work they will be missing over the next several months so I am trying to help them prepare so they can put their focus and energy where it needs to be, towards Darcie. They say it takes a Villiage and now I'm asking the Village to find it in their hearts to reach out and help this family in their time of need. If you are not able to donate I completely understand.
