Danny Bond's Surprise Journey... ALS

Donation protected
Many of you have been touched by Danny over the years, and you may not know about his recent health challenges. In a matter of weeks he was struck by a ferocious, incurable, and fatal disease, had to sell his tools and shutter his shop, and can no longer work nor generate any income to help support his young
family. Please consider donating to this GoFundMe campaign, or avoid the fees and send a contribution to him/Lori directly. Any amount would be welcome, and if you can find it in your heart to make regular donations that would be wonderful. Danny has two daughters, ages 13 & 15, and we are also trying to build up funds for college.
Here is Danny Bond’s story:
After 5000+ flying hours and quite a few total renovations and fabrications of aerobatic aircraft as his work's passion over many years, Danny has surprisingly been hit with ALS. This Lou Gehrig's Disease has grounded his aviation career, and put him on an unknown Journey at what seems to be at a quick pace. (And even though he was ALWAYS moving and doing - we'd prefer this Journey quit traveling at such a quick speed!)
Danny's encouraged and supported the aerobatic community, and has critiqued and given advice to many friends on flying tips, techniques, and repairs. His wife, Lori, has supported him and enjoyed helping their two daughters, Loran and Danielle, start flying as babies in Danny's airplanes.
Danny's taught aerobatics and Pitts check-outs for years, is an IA/A&P Aircraft Mechanic, was a BFI in Ultralights for years, has been in about 11 years of contest flying, was the Contest Director of IAC Chapter #19 Farmville Contests, and IAC Chapter #19 President. He's even gone overseas to perform in Airshows in China, and enjoyed car racing again in the Vintage Modified Racing class, as Bond 007.
We would love for you to send your supporting comments and words of encouragement to Danny as he faces so many changes with this ALS - a lateral sclerosis that is a rare rapidly progressing neurological disease, with no cure. (Voluntary muscle control and movement are lost, which lead to weakness, loss of strength and ability to move arms, legs and body, then ability to breathe on one's own.)
Danny is already facing such a changed lifestyle with not being able to go to work, get in an airplane let alone pilot it, and having to use a walker and now power chair. We aren't sure what the next upcoming hardships will be for him or his family, nor the next medical needs. But when the Doctors told Danny months ago that he has ALS, he said, "God's got this." And you WONDERFUL friends have been reaching out, praying, and making things brighter for Danny! THANK YOU!
