DAN BAKER MEMORIAL FUND

In Memory of Dan Baker who died of cardiac arrest in May, The Fitzwilliam Fire Department and the Fitzwilliam Police Department have started a fund to raise money for the purchase of equipment used in the care of cardiac arrest patients. Our first goal is to purchase a Lucas 3 automatic CPR machine for the Town of Fitzwilliam.

Like most small towns in NH and around the country Fitzwilliam is experiencing a shortage of qualified EMS Responders, especially during the day. This device helps to maximize the efficiency of the responders on scene by automating chest compressions.

When CPR is required due to cardiac arrest time is of the essence.

The Lucas 3 CPR machine can be applied in a matter of seconds. It does the right amount of compressions needed for the patient and automatically adjusts to body size without hesitation and saves lives that otherwise might not be saved.

The machine will be purchased and carried on the Fitzwilliam Ambulance but available to Troy and Richmond in the event of need in their communities
