Danny, Dave and Charlie's Dips for Dementia
Hi, Myself, David and Charlie will be swimming everyday of December to raise much needed funds in aid of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. There are over 64,000 people in Ireland living with Dementia and the number of people with the condition will more than double in the next 25 years to over 150,000. The society plays a crucial role in providing services and support to people living with dementia, their family and friends and also their carers. I lost my Nana Betty in early October of this year and it was such a relief to myself and my family that she was taken such good care of by hospital staff and care services focused on dementia and other related illnesses. We hope that our efforts can raise funds to further the ongoing research and enhance the support systems that people who are either living with dementia or have a family member living with dementia deserve.
