Dani's Community Trip to Zambia - Summer 2024

Hello everyone, Dani has had the opportunity of a lifetime to get a place on the community trip to Zambia in July 2024, with his secondary school.

The aim of the trip is to work with local community to benefit them by doing various voluntary work and helping them to improve language skills, among other activities. However, the main focus of his trip is to teach the kids tag rugby and various other sports to truly engage with the community.

This experience will leave a lasting impression on Dani and his fellow classmates, and hopefully an even more lasting and positive impact on the local communities.

Although it will be an incredible experience, Dani will have to raise about £3000 in order to fund his trip. This means he'll therefore be raising money through little jobs in his local area, for example babysitting and car washes.

On top of these activities, the main fundraiser for his trip will be trekking the Downs Link, from Guildford, Surrey to Shoreham-by-Sea near Brighton.

The Downs Link follows a disused railway line for 37 miles (59km) that Dani will walk with his mum and his brother Lorenzo over two days in May.

Ciao a tutti, Dani ha avuto l'opportunità di poter partecipare a un'esperienza di volontariato in Zambia per l'estate 2024 con la sua scuola secondaria.

L'obiettivo del viaggio del gruppo di studenti inglesi è quello di lavorare con le comunità locali facendo volontariato nei villaggi, aiutando i bambini a migliorare le loro abilità comunicative ma soprattutto insegnarli a giocare a tag rugby (attività per la quale Dani e i suoi compagni stanno ricevendo una formazione).

Per Daniele e i suoi compagni sarà un'esperienza unica e incredibile e lasceranno sicuramente un segno e un impatto positivo nelle comunità locali con cui lavoreranno.

Anche se sarà un'esperienza incredibile, per poter finanziare questo viaggio Daniele deve raccogliere circa 3000£. Lo farà facendo dei piccoli lavoretti come babysitter o lavaggio auto per i vicini di casa, ma la sfida più impegnativa che farà per raccogliere fondi sarà un trekking lungo il Downs Link, da St Martha's Hill, Guildford nel Surrey, fino a Shoreham-by-Sea vicino a Brighton, sulla costa sud dell'Inghilterra.

Il Downs Link segue una vecchia linea del treno ora in disuso per circa 59 chilometri che Dani percorrerà con suo fratello Lorenzo e sua mamma Fabiana in due giorni, durante le vacanze scolastiche di Aprile.
