I broke my ankle while working as a professional gardener in a client's garden, and now I need surgery. I stepped on cobblestone rocks the wrong way, my foot got stuck, and I fell sideways, causing a spiral fracture. What started as a normal workday changed everything in an instant, and it has been scary to suddenly face all of this at once.

Because I am self-employed, I can't work while my ankle heals. That means I am facing not only surgery and recovery, but also the loss of my income at the same time. I am really worried about how I will manage the medical costs and keep up with everyday expenses while I am unable to work.
