Hello everyone
I am Danielle an Educator and founder of a christian movement called Transcend.
I remember being 16 and hearing how a child's socio-economic backgrounds can affect how well they perform at school. I was disheartened at the fact that due to external factors like home-life, ethnic background, cultural background, material deprivation (money) and more impacts how well a child succeeds.
Since then I have been passionate about empowering young people within education.
Four years ago I went to Ghana for a month to volunteer at an orphanage. My time there was absolutely amazing, I was able to take care of orphans, visit the local school, partake in church activities and even had the opportunity to deliver sermons at their local church. I was able to raise £2000 enabling me to go and volunteer with International Volunteer HQ.
Since then, I have been keeping in touch, nurturing the relationships built and listening out for God about my personal life and the work he has for me to do next.
Since going to Ghana in 2017, I have trained as a qualified teacher working with young people in the U.K from the ages of 11 to 18, leading a ministry called Transcend where we put on Gospel productions. Also I have worked and partnered with educational charities and organisations all with the aim to see young people go above and beyond overcoming barriers and obstacles mentally, physically or emotionally which can affect their educational achievement.
Now I will be taking my experience, passion and skills back to the country of Ghana. I will be teaching in Ghana, and doing missionary work with churches and orphanages in Ghana.
My mission as a christian will be to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth (Mark 16:15). Responding to this call, I will not be earning and so will be doing this as a full time missionary on behalf of Transcend.
However my vehicle will not be limited to teaching.
I would love for you to partner with me; I will be raising a total of £8,200. This investment will enable me to go out and do this great work in Ghana for the period of 6 months. I will not be earning a salary for the entire duration of the trip doing this work full time, serving and empowering the young people through skills I have developed. I will be working with children from ages of 5 right through to 18.
