When we first wrote “Get A Man Wrong” a few years ago I immediately felt attached to the message in this song. As you follow the lyrics a story unfolds about a veteran who is going through hard times and reaches out for compassion from a total stranger.
As a society I feel like we tend to neglect the people who have sacrificed so much for the freedoms we enjoy. I have military ties on both sides of my family. As a musician some of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in music have come from performing and writing songs with members of our armed services. All are reasons why I am so honored to be partnering with ForcesUnited in Augusta, Georgia, to help raise awareness for the good work they do. ForcesUnited has worked with and for our veterans since 2007 across both Georgia and South Carolina. The support given by this organization has made a major impact in my personal life and when I learned more about some of the statistics in these areas veterans are facing...I wanted to do something.
