Hello, my name is Reina Diaz, family of Lidia Danessa Velásquez Pavón
We are making an urgent call for solidarity for our beloved Lidia Danessa Velásquez Pavón. At 35 years old, Lidia is in critical condition, fighting for her life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Esperanza Hospital in Guatemala.
The Scale of a Long Battle
Lidia is a warrior who faces multiple health challenges. In addition to her birth disability, she was diagnosed approximately a year ago with complex autoimmune diseases: Lupus (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Despite the pain and difficulties, Lidia has always fought with admirable strength.
Sadly, last week, her battle took a devastating turn. Lupus flared aggressively, spreading inflammation to her brain. This condition led her to suffer multiple severe seizures that seriously endangered her life and brain function.
To stop the seizures and allow her body and brain to recover from the autoimmune attack, doctors had to induce a coma. Lidia has now been in intensive care for five days, fighting with all her might.
Hospital Debt and Our Urgent Need
The cost of ICU care at Esperanza Hospital is overwhelming. So far, the hospital bill stands at $45,000 and continues to rise hour by hour. We urgently need to cover these expenses to ensure Lidia receives the specialized medications and constant monitoring she needs to wake up and survive.
As a family, we are exhausting our resources, but this figure is unattainable. That's why, with all our hearts in our mouths, we turn to your generosity.
Your Dollar Can Save a Life
Every contribution, no matter how small, gives us hope and helps us keep Lidia alive.
• If you can donate $1, $5, $10, or any amount, please help us.
• If you're unable to donate, we sincerely ask you to share this story with your contacts. Every time you share, you bring us closer to our goal.
Lidia deserves the opportunity to continue fighting. We are infinitely grateful for your help, your prayers, and your solidarity during this difficult time.
With immense gratitude.
Velásquez Pavón Family.
