This year, I’ve joined an incredible group of ladies from our local community to take on a truly special challenge — Mamma Me!, a joyful, Mamma Mia–inspired dance show dedicated to the memory of Aubrey Strawberry and to every child affected by DIPG.

Aubrey was a bright, caring, and fun-loving little girl whose smile could light up any room. She loved dancing, singing, and making everyone around her laugh. Her story has touched so many hearts — including mine.

At just two years old, Aubrey was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) — one of the rarest and most aggressive childhood brain tumours.

Despite this, Aubrey never stopped smiling. She faced each day with courage, laughter, and love, inspiring everyone around her. Her strength reminds us why it’s so important to keep fighting for change.

Every nine minutes, somewhere in the world, a child is diagnosed with DIPG.

In the UK alone, it affects around 40 children each year — and heartbreakingly, there is still no cure.

That’s why I’m taking part in this dance challenge — to raise awareness and vital funds for Abbie’s Army, a charity dedicated to funding pioneering research and supporting families affected by DIPG.

For the past two months, we’ve been rehearsing, laughing, learning, and dancing together — all in Aubrey’s honour. On Saturday 8th November 2025, we’ll take to the stage at the Dunstable Conference Centre to perform and celebrate her beautiful legacy.

Every donation, big or small, helps fund the essential research that could one day change the future for children like Aubrey.
