Together, we can keep solidarity alive between Denmark and Spanien
After the devastating DANA floods that struck the Valencia region, hundreds of families, schools, and community spaces are still rebuilding their lives.
From Copenhagen, a group of volunteers created Danamark Solidaritet, a Danish civic initiative born from compassion and the desire to help.
We have already sent a truck full of furniture, organized cultural fundraising events, and raised over 200,000 DKK for recovery efforts. Now, we want to go further — to keep this bridge of solidarity open between Denmark and Spain.
All funds raised through this campaign will be donated directly to the Fundación Isabel Enrique Díaz, a Spanish non-profit foundation that works tirelessly in the affected areas of Valencia to support education, health, and local reconstruction projects.
Why this campaign matters
The emergency phase is over, but the real reconstruction has just begun.
Homes can be rebuilt — but restoring lives, schools, and communities takes time.
Your donation will help the Fundación Isabel Enrique Díaz continue its essential work in the Valencia region, supporting:
Education – Repairing and equipping preschools (escoletas) affected by the floods.
⚽ Community wellbeing – Rebuilding local sports facilities (like the project in Sedaví) to restore children’s activities and mental health.
Families in need – Providing essential furniture, home repairs, and emotional support to those who lost everything.
Every contribution counts — from new chairs in a classroom to safe spaces where children can play again.
Who we are
DANAmark Solidaritet is a volunteer network in Denmark committed to transparent, people-driven solidarity.
Our mission is to mobilize Danish society to support communities in need in Valencia, through fundraising events, logistics, and cultural collaboration.
We work closely with Fundación Isabel Enrique Díaz, a foundation recognized for its ongoing work in:
- Health and social care for vulnerable families
- Education and early childhood programs
- Reconstruction and community strengthening initiatives
What WE have achieved so far:
Thanks to the incredible solidarity of many people living in Copenhagen — individuals from different backgrounds united by empathy and compassion — together we have achieved something truly meaningful.
With the generous support of local companies, football players who donated their signed jerseys for our charity auction, artists, and even the Spanish Football Federation, our community has shown what can happen when we join forces for a common purpose.
All of them — our partners, donors, and supporters — can be seen and celebrated on our website. We are deeply grateful for everything we have accomplished together.: WEB
During our last charity auction, Michael Laudrup and Daniel Wass, together with other football legends and clubs, donated signed jerseys that helped us raise vital funds for reconstruction.
Their support inspired many others to join — showing that solidarity has no borders, not even on the field.
“Con esfuerzo y solidaridad, todo es posible.” — Michael Laudrup
So far, we have:
✅ Sent a full truck of furniture and home appliances to the affected areas in Valencia.
✅ Organized two major cultural solidarity events in Copenhagen, raising over 200,000 DKK.
✅ Visited the projects of Fundación Isabel Enrique Díaz and the local association El Nou Camí, strengthening our direct collaboration and ensuring transparency in how the funds are used.
Each step has been a reminder that solidarity has no borders — and that when we act together, even from far away, we can rebuild lives and restore hope.
