On March 30th, 2025, I’ll be taking on the ultimate challenge: running a 50km ultra marathon. But this isn’t just about pushing my limits – it’s about raising vital funds and awareness for a cause that has deeply affected my family.

A few years ago, my mum was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, a rare and often misunderstood disease that can impact various organs in the body, most commonly the lungs and skin. For her, this diagnosis has meant a huge shift in her quality of life. From ongoing treatments to dealing with fatigue and pain, it’s been a difficult journey for my mum and our family. But through it all, Sarcoidosis UK has been there for support, guidance, and crucial research into better treatments and a cure.

Unfortunately, Sarcoidosis UK is a small charity that does not receive government funding, meaning every single donation counts. That’s why I’m running this ultra marathon with the goal of raising £1100 to support their essential work. This money will help fund vital research, support those living with sarcoidosis, and raise awareness about this debilitating condition.
