On Easter weekend, a devastating fire tore through the industrial estate on Green Lane, leaving a trail of destruction that has deeply affected many people. Among those hardest hit was Dalbergia - a small, family-run business at the heart of Fordingbridge for 30 years, built from the ground up by husband and wife, Piers and Morag, alongside their dedicated team.

While many in the community have already kindly come together to support Dan Walters garage, we are now asking for that same support for Morag, Piers and their staff.

The fire destroyed their workshop and thousands of pounds worth of tools, equipment, and stock - both business and personal.

Sadly, staff have already been made redundant - a heartbreaking decision after years spent building a strong, close-knit team, which they hope to employ again in the near future. The family has already taken out a significant loan, but the financial pressure is immense. Although insurance may eventually cover some of the losses, it could take months, if not years, before any support arrives despite having paid substantial insurance premiums.

Home life has changed considerably for both them and their two children. Right now, Piers and Morag are working tirelessly from their dining room table, doing everything they can to recover from this situation whilst trying to maintain some normality for the children.

Anyone who knows Morag will know how much of her time she dedicates to helping others. She is always one of the first to volunteer at Cubs, schools, and toddler groups, support local events and committees, provide sponsorship for the local football club, and help others without hesitation.
