Hi everyone, this is an unusual post for me! With Thanksgiving coming up, I’ve been thinking about how grateful I am to have my family, and especially how grateful I am to have my father here with us, after we almost lost him to Covid.

I’m starting this GoFundMe/Fundraiser for my dad, who came terrifyingly close to losing his life after battling COVID. He’s been my number one fan since I started this page. He spent weeks in the ICU on a ventilator, fighting harder than we ever thought possible. By the grace of God and incredible doctors, he pulled through! We both did, as I was hospitalized as well with severe Covid and nearly put on a ventilator myself.

His recovery has been long and filled with challenges, including complications such as needing his gallbladder removed, and needing dual hip replacements from the damage that high dose steroids caused, during treatment for severe Covid. He is now facing an overwhelming amount of medical debt from his hospital stay, treatments, and follow-up care. Obviously we will never be able to fully cover it all, but every little bit helps, even just a like or share!

My dad is the kind of person who would give anyone the shirt off his back, and it’s been hard for him to accept help. But if you’re able to lend a hand, whether through a donation or simply by sharing this page, it would mean the world to me.
