Dad Needs Bypass: Your Help Matters

Donation protected
Greetings friends and family. On February 5, 2025, my dad, who you also know as Uncle Cisco, Claude, Mr. Ollie bright light slightly dimmed causing all of us a fit of panic and worry. He suffered a heart attack and by the Grace of God was saved by the quick responsive actions of our dedicated medical professionals, ambulatory and that of the staff at St. Joseph Medical Associates.

My dad is one of the most selfless people that I know. He is benevolent and will do without for himself to help others. One mantra that I have adopted from my father and continue to live by each day is "IF ANYONE SLAPS YOU ON THE RIGHT CHEEK, TURN THEM THE OTHER." Matthew 5:39. Yes, he is the pacifist I love and admire with all my heart. His humour is one that all his family members look forward to at get-togethers. As he takes the floor and steps into the spotlight, the room fills with unequivocal joy and uncontrollable laughter you just can't help but want more of his wit and banter.

However, there's a spiritual side to my dad. So sacred does he hold this in his heart (no pun intended), that when religious topics come to the forefront of conversations, there is a change in his countenance. There is an innate joy from within him to serve and enlighten others with his knowledge and life experiences. His love for God is profound and unwavering, greatly admired by others. He attends mass religiously every Saturday evening and serves the Lord as a Eucharistic Minister. Performing a church service in the event of the absence of the Priest is no unfamiliar task. One can always rely on his candor during one of his sermons which he takes such precision and time to prepare.

I reiterate this as a reminder of the kind, sweet, gentle person of my dad and the conundrum we are now facing. He had a stent already put into one of his arteries to increase the blood flow and is now awaiting Open Heart Surgery. Unfortunately, the financial responsibility for this procedure is far beyond what we can manage alone. Consequently, we have set up a GoFundMe account to help cover costs, and we are reaching out to you our close community for support. Any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to us and make a huge difference in ensuring he gets the care he needs.

We are truly grateful for your kindness, prayers and support during this challenging time.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.....
