Siamo in cinque - Sara, Davide, Lia, Alessandro e Mauro - e a breve partiremo dalla provincia di Brescia per Chacas, un piccolo paese tra le Ande peruviane, dove l’Operazione Mato Grosso porta avanti da anni un lavoro straordinario: sostenere scuole, ospedali, orfanotrofi, case per anziani e portare cibo casa per casa a chi non ne ha.

Abbiamo scelto di partire a nostre spese, per stare quasi un mese a fianco dei volontari e dare una mano concreta dove serve davvero.

Ma ci siamo detti: possiamo fare di più.

Vorremmo portare anche un aiuto economico, che resti lì anche dopo la nostra partenza:

Per riempire le ceste di viveri che arrivano alle famiglie più povere.

Per sostenere l’ospedale, le scuole, le case dove lavorano volontari che accolgono bambini e anziani soli.

Per dare ossigeno a chi si spende ogni giorno, senza chiedere nulla in cambio.

Ogni donazione, anche piccola, è un passo in più per chi ha davvero poco.

There are five of us - Sara, Davide, Lia, Alessandro, and Mauro - and soon we’ll be leaving from the province of Brescia for Chacas, a small town in the Peruvian Andes, where Operazione Mato Grosso has been carrying out extraordinary work for years: supporting schools, hospitals, orphanages, homes for the elderly, and bringing food directly to those who need it most.

We’ve chosen to pay for the trip ourselves, to spend nearly a month alongside the volunteers and offer hands-on help where it truly matters.

But we said to ourselves: we can do more.

We want to bring financial help too, something that will stay even after we leave:

To help fill the food baskets delivered to the poorest families.

To support the hospital, the schools, and the homes where volunteers welcome children and the elderly who have no one else.

To give breath to those who give everything, without ever asking for anything in return.

Every donation, even a small one, is a step forward for those who have so little.
