Ignatius Lennon Warnert joined the world earlier than expected! On January 18th, at 26 Weeks 3 Days, he was just over 2 pounds. 

Recently we were told that Nash has a Grade 4 brain bleed which could have lasting effects on his mobility. We won’t know for months, maybe years the extent of the damage.

Our little “Nash'' has an Omphalocele, a rare birth defect where his liver, small and large intestine formed in his umbilical cord in utero. Being born early, and with what the doctors are calling a “Giant O” has made for a challenging start for this little guy. His journey is going to be a long, at least a four-month stay in the NICU. We still have a lot of hurdles to overcome--the baby needs to learn to eat and breathe on his own. But we're staying optimistic.
