Hello everyone! Since day one, We have been talking about the family we want to have together. Being parents is something that both of us have been wanting for MANY, MANY years and we have decided now is the time to start the process. We met later in life so time is of the essence!
This is something we are struggling asking for your support with. Reaching out for help is not an easy thing, particularly with something like this, but sometimes support from loved ones and friends is exactly what you need and this is one of those times.
We are looking to do Intrauterine Insemination, here is a link for more information http://www.olivefertility.com/our-services/iui. IUI is quite expensive, with each treatment costing roughly $1200. Given that the success rate is relatively low and that we are at the age where it can be much more difficult to become pregnant, a number of treatments will most likely be necessary. We estimate needing between $8,000-$10,000 for these treatments.
As we mentioned, time is of the essence and this is an amount that we are unable to save in a timely manner. Our hope is that this process will not find us starting our family in major debt.
We recognize that this a lot to ask of our community and we appreciate any amount you are able to give.
