LET'S HELP GEORGE !

Hello Everyone. In the spirit of Easter, let's help our dear friend George get back on his feet.

George, the long-time owner of George's Restaurant in Elliot Lake was recently broken into leading to property damage, theft of money, alcohol and other important papers and documents. The break-in also forced the temporary closure of his restaurant leading to loss of revenue. George estimates it will take him 2-3 months to fully recover from this incident with an estimated $5000-6000 in damages that is not all recoverable through insurance.

I have come to admire George over the past 7 years that I have been working in Elliot Lake. He is almost 83 years old and has a tireless work ethic, spending almost 7 days a week in his restaurant. He has been serving the community home cooked, delicious meals that he makes from scratch on a weekly and daily basis for almost 50 years. George has been employing and helping dozens of people in need for a long, long time. His prices have stayed the same despite a pandemic, inflation and major escalations in food costs.

Let's lift George's spirits and help him recover as soon as possible. If you can spare a few dollars to help out, it will undoubtedly be appreciated and not taken for granted - and will almost certainly earn you a free shot of Ouzo from George the next time you see him!

I have set a goal of $3000-5000 for George. I think we can do it in no time at all.
