Birmingham Children's Hospital

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why they are a fundraising hospital. They want to raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

7 years ago i ran the birmingham 10k, and raised £1300 (even made the evening mail), after leo had life saving heart surgery at 6 weeks of age. He spent 9 weeks there, all the staff from the nurses to porters and surgeon's are amazing people. I'm certain there dedication is reason we have leo in our lives.

This year, i want to step it up I'm doing the birmingham half marathon on the May 4th.

I know I'll probably end up in hospital myself , but I owe so much to the BCH. It's something I have to do. I've been donating to them for the past 7 years. So digs deep if you can and maybe get enough to help towards caring for someone else's children.
