On the night of July 5th, a house fire occurred and effected two homes, including the James Family home. Thankfully, all of the family members Alecia, Rigo, Jordan (seven-year-old son who attends Browns Point Elementary) and Izlee, were able to get out safely with the clothes on their back. They are a wonderful, selfless, kind and amazing members of our community.
This tragic event has left this local family, who have been long-term residents of our beautiful Browns Point community without a home, displaced and at a complete loss. They could really use community support right now. This tragedy has destroyed memories, keepsakes, valuables and personal belongings and left them feeling overwhelmed and completely devastated. If you are able, please help this wonderful family recover financially during this difficult time as they work to rebuild their lives. Gift cards would also be profoundly appreciated (Costco, Amazon, Fred Meyer, Target, Nike) for essentials such as clothing, linens, toiletries. Insurance investigators declared total loss of belongings and household items and provided a timeline of at least a year to rebuild. Many of the family members are not on Facebook, so they may not be seeing posts or comments right away, please know they are profoundly overwhelmed and extremely grateful for any and all support. Browns Point truly is a wonderful place to live and they would like to stay local as Alecia's son is a student at Browns Point Elementary! Drop off location for donations, gift cards: Resurrection Lutheran Church located at 4301 Browns Point Blvd NE, Tacoma, WA Thank you for supporting and caring about this wonderful local Browns Point community family!!!
