Raising money for Killed Women

Hi my name is Lorraine, this year I am taking on two epic swims the first swimming across Lake Coniston on the 21st June, a whopping 5.5 miles and then on 10th August the Henley Marathon raising money and awareness for a cause that is close to my heart.

*update 2/5/25 - sadly the Henley Marathon has been cancelled due to going into liquidation, however my friends and I are committed to complete a swim marathon and will be completing a swim marathon together organising our own safety crew.

This charity is important to me as my lovely neighbours lost their niece Ellie in a horrific murder, which took place in her own home.

In the UK, a women is killed by a man every three days. Killed women is a campaign organisation and network for families who have lost female friends and families as a result of fatal male violence.

They're are campaigning to better protect women from the most extreme forms of violence, to make sure justice is found for those whose lives are lost and to improve the support of families left behind.
