Tasha Woods - Her world as a single mom started weighing heavily on her shoulders when she suddenly lost her dad last year. Since then, she and her son have moved back to Nelson, MO to be closer to family. Unfortunately, life has been really hard for Tasha and her son, Darrius, this past year. We all know that grief can strike really hard, and it did for this family. The passing of her father sent Tasha into depression, and anxiety has weighed extremely heavy on her. Not only is Tasha taking care of her 9-year-old son, but she is also helping take care of two other children that are not her own. Tasha has a very big heart and will give everything to the kids to make sure they are taken care of. Doing so has cost her everything.

Tasha is living in her family home in Nelson, MO, and has not been able to come up with the money for the taxes. She has received a notice that she has to be out by August 26th if she does not come up with $700. She is also behind on her water bill by $200. On top of all of this, her car recently broke down. She got a job as a substitute bus driver and janitor at the local school, but that job doesn't start until school does. With the $900, plus what she will end up paying for her car, she is unable to pay for school supplies, school clothes, food, and basic utilities.

We are trying to raise at least $3,000.00 to pay for the taxes, water bill, car maintenance, and basic necessities so she can make it to her first paycheck.
