Bookbags For the Homeless!
Donation protected
My name is Steven Smith Gordillo. I am 25 years old, born from Mexican and Ecuadorian parents, born and raised in Queens, New York, and I am a Powerful, Brave, and Loving leader.
I have set a goal for myself where I want to create 100 bookbags, including various items that I will detail at the end of the post, that I want to hand out to the homeless and less fortunate. These are people on the street who have gone through so much and whatever their lifestory may be, I cannot judge them for where they are now because in an instant, the same thing can happen to me or any one of us. I am committed to giving back to them because when I look at them, the one thing I feel like they need more of is love. A home to me is where you feel the most loved and safe. This is something I feel like they haven't felt in so long and these bags that I'm committed to making, will be made with love and care, with items that I selected that for me, provide love and a form of protection and security. I'm also adding items into the bag that I feel can help them integrate back into society, where they are around others and are able to just talk to people and not feel alone.
Bookbag consists of: refillable water bottle, reusable utensils, tupperware, socks, hygiene kit, wipes, first aid kit, feminine products kit, thermal blanket, handwritten note, maps with shelter/food pantry/public services/etc. information,
Please help me give back and share if you cannot donate because everything helps! We can change the life of 100 people with this, and it is such a powerful feeling, when you can say you contributed to changing at least one person's day, that what you donated or shared, helped give one person a little more love <3
