Cyrus & Friends Memorial at Ridgeline Footbridge

Hi there, I am excited to announce that I am finally working with the City of Eugene Parks and Open Spaces Department to install a custom memorial bench and an educational nature sign across the street from Ridgeline Montessori School at the new Dillard/Amazon footbridge. This has been in the works since 2017 and I am excited to finally get moving on this very special project.
The custom bench will be a memorial bench for Cyrus Mohtadi, Gary Jenkins, and Lij Taylor - all beloved Ridgeline Family Members who we lost between June 2016 and March 2017. The educational nature sign will include information about the local butterflies and pollinator plants they depend on. Because we will supply the bench, the overall costs are expected to be less than what the City charges for their standard memorial benches. Currently, there is a $1,500 administrative fee for the custom bench installation, not including the cost of the bench or installation. I am awaiting a quote on the nature sign. Once I have these numbers, I will update the fundraising goal. I will add more photos as I get them.
I am not sure of the timeline for installation until all the details are settled on, but the hope is that the installation will be completed by the spring of 2021.
All donations previously raised in January 2017 have been added here and THANK YOU to those who donated then. All costs not raised in this fundraising campaign will be paid for by the family of Cyrus Mohtadi.
