Together, We Can Make a Difference!
With a group of enthusiastic teens aged 11–17, we are embarking on an incredible volunteering project in Tirana, Albania, for the summer of 2025. Our goal? To make lasting changes that will directly benefit the children and families in this community.
Here’s What We Plan to Accomplish:
- Drill a Well – Ensuring access to clean water, a basic human need.
- Build a New Drainage System and Install Three Doors Canopy – Creating a safer and more functional environment for the community.
- Refurbish the Afterschool Program Facilities – Enhancing the space to provide a better learning and recreational environment for kids.
- Support the Summer Camp Program – By purchasing essential materials and creating unforgettable experiences for local children.
Why This Project Matters
In 2019, ADRA Albania launched an Adventist kindergarten in Tirana, providing high-quality education to 44 children. Building on its success, the second phase of this initiative transformed a 300 m² warehouse into an afterschool program facility. Now, we are stepping into the third phase, focusing on volunteer accommodation and supporting community growth through impactful programs.
By partnering with ADRA Albania and ADRA Nederland, our teens club and parents aim to continue this important mission. The work we’ll do will have long-lasting effects, empowering children and families while fostering education and development.
How We’re Raising Funds
To raise the €15,000 we need, our dedicated teens will cycle between 70–75 km on June 8, 2025. For most of them, this will be their very first time taking on such a challenge, but they are determined to work hard to make a difference. Their commitment to this ride is a testament to their passion and dedication to helping others.
Breakdown of Our Fundraising Goal
- €10,000 will go directly towards the project costs, including drilling a well, building the drainage system, and refurbishing the afterschool program.
- €5,000 will help cover the stay costs for the group of parents and teens during their 14-day trip, as well as logistics for painting, repair work, and organizing the summer camp program.
- The families of volunteers will cover their own travel expenses, ensuring that every donated euro is used to improve the community.
