Want to join me in making a difference? I’m raising money to benefit Friends of Rwandan Rugby.
Friends of Rwandan Rugby is a UK-registered charity that uses rugby to support young people and communities across Rwanda. Through school and grassroots programmes, the charity provides coaching, equipment and trained Rugby Development Officers, helping children stay active while learning teamwork, respect and confidence. Working in partnership with the Rwanda Rugby Federation, Friends of Rwandan Rugby uses sport as a powerful tool for health, education and reconciliation, creating positive opportunities for thousands of young people.
At the end of January (Sunday 1st February, 2026), I’ll be taking on an endurance challenge: cycling the height of Mount Karisimbi, Rwanda’s highest peak, from home. Using my Atom Wattbike and the virtual training platform Zwift, I’ll need to climb the equivalent of Mount Ventoux nearly three times to reach a total elevation gain of 4,507 metres. The entire ride will be live-streamed on YouTube, so you can follow along as I push through the climbs.
I have set a donation goal of £200. This amount would support a rugby development officer in Rwanda for four months, delivering approximately 300 hours of sports lessons. Thousands of schoolchildren will benefit from this fundraiser alone.
Thank you so much for your support.
