It doesn't take much to make a difference for a youth experiencing homelessness. The simple gift of dry, warm socks go a long way in helping survive a cold and wet Portland winter.
On November 5th, our team Mill A Cycling Club (Brett, Ian, Shawn + Truen) will be riding the Rapha Prestige in Santa Cruz. While we ride an estimated 100 miles and climb approximately 10,000 feet in elevation we will be riding to promote awareness about p:ear a non-profit in Portland, OR, and its mission to help homeless youth.
We want to help raise money for and encourage donations of socks and winter clothing in preparation for the cold, wet months ahead.
There are three different ways you can help us with this fundraiser:
1. Donate to this GoFundMe and the funds will go directly to p:ear
2. Visit p:ear and drop off a donation of winter clothing and/or new socks in all sizes.
3. Order + Ship new winter socks in all adult sizes to p:ear (address below)

Mission Statement & Vision: p:ear builds positive relationships with homeless youth through education, art, recreation, and job training to affirm personal worth and create more meaningful and healthier lives.
We believe every young person should have the opportunity to see a life for themselves beyond the most difficult circumstances they face. We know that homelessness isn’t a character trait. It’s an experience. When communities work together, that experience can be temporary. We fiercely believe every p:ear youth has a vibrant future. We’re here to walk with them, as partners, friends, and champions as they discover and grow toward it.
