Cycling for NASCI vzw
Donation protected
As you probably know every year I try to do a personal bike-related challenge. This year, a friend asked me why I wasn't doing the challenge for charity, which led to the creation of this GoFundMe page...
The charity I will be doing the challenge for is NASCI vzw. NASCI supports disadvantaged pregnant women, single mothers and families with young children who are temporarily or structurally struggling in the Brussels region. My wife and I have been long term supporters of this NGO, having contributed financially and in kind over the past 5 years.
The challenge I have set myself is fairly straightforward - starting from the furthest place North the Dutch railways will bring me and my bike, to cycle to the southernmost point of the Netherlands in Klein-Kuttingen in 24 hours. Due to works, I would need to start in Harlingen, rather than the more northerly Eemshaven. This is all petty geography - it's still over 500km with some nasty hills at the very end. The idea is to do this on Saturday 12 July.
It would be great if you were willing to contribute. One cent per kilometre ridden would add up to 5 euro.
