Hi all. As many of you may know, I'm an avid cyclist. I did more miles on my bike in 2025 than in my car, twice as much in fact. For 2026, my focus was finding a different challenge on the bike while discovering a way to give back. I've found a purpose that fulfills both those and wanted to share it with you while also asking for your help.
The Westminster Police Officer's Memorial Foundation was established to assist the families of their fallen officers. Since its creation, the foundation has also provided support to officers injured in the line of duty, both in Westminster and throughout the State of California.
This May, a team of Westminster Police officers along with myself and other members from my bike club, Orange Coast Velo, will honor fallen officers by cycling from the State Memorial in Sacramento to the Westminster Police Officers Memorial. This 630-mile trek will be covered by the team in 4 days.
I am asking for your financial support as this event is their annual drive to raise money for their Memorial Foundation. Your tax-deductible donation can make a huge difference in the lives of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
And just recently, the beneficiary of the money raised will go to Officer Isaac Davila from the Garden Grove Police Department and here is the brief story behind this selection:
On January 3, 2026 Officer Isaac Davila from the Garden Grove Police Department was involved in a foot pursuit of a wanted subject while on duty. While chasing the subject, Officer Davila was struck by a vehicle sustaining significant injuries. He faces a very long road to recovery and his family faces significant medical expenses and future care needs that may not be covered by insurance. With that being said, the decision has been made that all of the money we raise this year on our memorial ride to be donated to him and his family.
Every mile I pedal during this event will remind me of the great cause I'm supporting, and your thoughtful donation will fuel me along the way!
