Cycling Around Australia 50days - For Mindfull Aus

Hey Everyone,

We are Boomerang Loop, two ordinary lads from the UK who couldn’t stand back and watch on as many people in this current climate struggle with the complexities of living with mental health challenges.

It is with that thought that both Myself (Ben) and my great friend Jay will be teaming up to tackle the challenge of a lifetime. Together we will be cycling 14,251kms around the entirety of Australia inside 50 days, all in the name of raising funds and awareness for mental health, something that is very, very close to both our hearts.

Whilst cycling and during our training, we will be reaching out to indigenous and rural communities as Mental Health is a global issue, and unfortunately, it can affect everyone. We aim to create communication pathways and support networks to ensure that people in all areas of Australia can benefit from the support systems available.  

In Australia, the statistics alone are tragic. Currently, it is reported that 9 Australians a day will take their own lives, and for every beautiful soul we are losing, a further 20 will attempt at their life. These statistics are shocking and break our hearts. This mission is personal to us, and we are incredibly passionate about supporting mental health.

Our goal is to work collaboratively with our chosen mental health charity- Mindfull Aus to raise a whopping $100,000 for mental health in our 14,251km ride around Australia.
