Cycle ride from Chelmsford to London for CALM
On the 8th of may, me and one of my friends are cycling to London for charity. As part of my college course, we have been instructed to raise money for charity. The first charity that came to mind was CALM. In the UK, 18 people take their lives every day. Me and my friend believe that something has to be done about this, and CALM is doing just that. In November, it will be the 5th year anniversary of my cousin committing suicide. Max was a loving character and was a great family member as well. This had a significant effect on everyone around him, including myself and many others. This is one of the reason that this charity came to mind so quickly. CALM help to prevent things like this from happening, as they will always be one call away.
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Campaign Against Living Miserably and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about Campaign Against Living Miserably: We’re the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and we’re taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling hopeless, standing up to stereotypes and standing together to show life is always worth living.
Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. CALM exists to change this - by offering life-saving services, provoking national conversation, and bringing people together to reject living miserably.
