I'm cycling 300 miles to help the American Cancer Society fight for a world without cancer. ACS has a platinum rating on GuideStar (the highest possible), so give with confidence! I will be pedaling to recognize all of us who have survived cancer and to all of those we have lost. I am an ovarian cancer survivor and lost my father to cancer. Several good friends, survivors as well, helped me through my treatment. I completed the ALC/HIV ride from SF to LA five times in my past, so cycling for this cause was a no brainer. Besides it would get me back on the bicycle! In this time of uncertainty around federal funding for cancer research it is important ,more than ever, for all of us to step forward. We are on the cusp of amazing breakthroughs in cancer treatments and The American Cancer Society has been there all along. Thank you for your support!
