On May 25, 2020, George Floyd was murdered by a Minneapolis police officer in the Powderhorn neighborhood, which is south of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. This terrible tragedy left the Twin Cities in mourning and anger. The peaceful protests eventually led to riots destroying many of the cities grocery stores and local businesses that the neighborhood consistently visited. A large portion of these residents rely on public transit, which no longer runs through a majority of a Minneapolis. This is where we need your help. After wracking our brains on what we could do for our community, my friend Renae made a post saying she had access to a school bus. After collecting donations from so many of you, we were able to shop and get the supplies needed to fill the bus and drop them at different sites all over the city. ANYTHING HELPS! We have no idea when stores will recover and need as much help as possible until then! The overwhelming support our community has given to one another during these hard times has been beautiful to see. And we want to keep that momentum! Much of what you donate will go directly to families in need in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Another portion of the proceeds will go to small businesses that need help in rebuilding and starting over. Let's do this!! #FillTheBus ❤️
