CXCP's 24-Hour Relay: Running for New Neighbors
Our Mission
For 24 hours straight, the Claremont High Cross Country team will keep moving—one runner, one lap, one mile at a time—to raise funds for Claremont Canopy, a local nonprofit that welcomes and supports refugee and asylum-seeking families as they build new lives in our community.
The Challenge
Our runners will keep the relay going continuously for 24 hours, passing the baton from teammate to teammate to ensure someone is always running. Every mile represents our commitment to standing alongside families whose journeys have required incredible courage, resilience, and hope.
Why Claremont Canopy Matters
Since 2017, Claremont Canopy has welcomed and supported more than 250 newly arrived neighbors from around the world. We help families secure stable housing, enroll children in school, access healthcare, navigate transportation, connect with community resources, and build the friendships that help transform a new place into a true home.
Every dollar raised stays right here in our community, helping families as they take their first steps toward safety, stability, and belonging.
How You Can Help
Every gift—whether it's $10, $25, $50, or more—helps make a meaningful difference. Your donation supports Claremont Canopy's work while encouraging our runners as they take on this 24-hour challenge in support of our newest neighbors.
Follow Our Journey
We'll share live updates throughout the relay, including photos, videos, stories, and mile totals. We hope you'll cheer us on as we run together for a stronger, more welcoming community.
Thank you for supporting the Claremont High Cross Country team and for helping Claremont Canopy continue to welcome new neighbors with compassion, dignity, and hope. Together, every mile and every donation makes a difference.
