(Pictured: This is the 3-story house we fled to when our home was destroyed. It is now rubble)

My name is Shayla Rutledge. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have been friends with Mohammed since the first year of the genocide in Gaza. I have been by his side through unbelievable loss and sorrow. I am hoping to garner help to keep him going, and I will send all the funds directly to him as soon as possible via digital currency. His story is below:

My name is Mohammed Hatem. I'm a 27-year-old from Gaza currently living in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Northern Gaza. I graduated in civil engineering in 2021 and began working to help my community before the war began. During this war, both houses I lived in were destroyed, and I now have no other home. I'm currently trying to repair the one room that remains from the rubble of our house to survive the winter. I dream of starting a family and also traveling outside of Gaza when I have the opportunity. I sincerely hope for your support because it is your support that will bring me back to life and allow me to start a family. Please stand with me so that I may start a family and begin to live again. In the end, there will be no words or phrases to represent the pain, suffering, and illnesses we have endured. Perhaps your support is what will restore some of what we have lost. Please feel free to contact me via WhatsApp and my Instagram account if you would like to know what we have truly experienced and what we went through.
