❗️❗️I wanted to provide an update! Kevin is home. He was discharged after 6 days in the hospital. Some days are better than others, but for the most part, is improving. He is still in a lot of pain and has a very long road ahead of him. But considering his injuries, he had kept his sense of humor, positive attitude, and is so grateful for all the love he and Krystal have been shown! Please continue to share and keep those prayers coming! God is so good and we are so grateful that Kevin is still with us, and on the road to recovery! And remember, with the weather getting warmer, there will be more motorcyclists out enjoying their bikes! LOOK TWICE, SAVE A LIFE!
My brother-in-law, Kevin, was in a horrible motorcycle accident on Wednesday, April 9th.
He and my sister-in-law had just moved to NC less than a week prior. They saved and saved to make the move and were adjusting to their new life in a new state when their lives were turned upside down.
Kevin is an avid motorcyclist. What he thought would be a quick joyride quickly changed into something horrific. A single mistake by another motorist on the road could have cost him his life. By the grace of God, he's still with us, but that came with a price.
From a fractured skull, multiple facial fractures, neck and back fractures, a broken nose and wrist, and a shattered pelvis, he will have a long road ahead of him.
While the other motorist's insurance should pay the hospital bills (we hope), his wife will be his primary caretaker and won't be able to work for quite some time. I'm hoping to alleviate some of the financial stress.
Kevin is an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Those of you that know him know he's got a great sense of humor. Just today, I found some photos that he was kind enough to take while I obviously left my phone unattended.
He is an all-around remarkable man who didn't deserve this. Anything helps, and if you're not able to help monetarily, keep those prayers coming!
