Hi, Im Becky. In 2016, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and went through chemotherapy. One of the hardest parts of that journey was losing my hair. It felt like such a big piece of me had gone, and at times it was tough to recognise myself in the mirror.

But then I was given a wig. And honestly, it made such a difference. It didn’t magically fix everything, but it gave me back a little piece of me. It helped me feel more like myself again. It meant that I could go to my sons school functions and look a lot like I did before I was sick, so that the attention remained as it should, on him. Those moments of fun, light-hearted normality? They shine the brightest when life feels at its darkest.

That’s why this cause means so much to me.

This year, I’m donating 12 inches of my hair to the Little Princess Trust, who create real-hair wigs for children and young people who’ve lost their hair through cancer or other illnesses. Alongside the hair donation, I’m fundraising to support the charity so they can continue their amazing work. Wig making is not cheap, but it sure is worth it. Attached you will find pictures of me after losing my hair, and me rocking the long blonde wig!

Every euro raised will go directly towards helping a child feel more like themselves again, just like I did back in 2016.
