Hey family and friends. So a lot of you know Makayla and how my world revolves around her. I hate asking for help but I'm willing to go out and ask for help from you guys and strangers when it comes to making her life better and after talking to my family, friends, and even her mothers family I have decided to ask for help. So I'm asking for money to afford an attorney so I can get custody of Mak.
I'm asking for 7,000 dollars because I have already paid to talk to an attorney and they have told me it will cost anywhere from 4,000 to 10,000 dollars. Four grand just to get started depending on how long it takes and could end up being a full ten thousand.
Like any parent I want what is best for my kid and I will always care for her mom. Makaylas step dad is trying to run everything and making it difficult on myself even though right now we do have a parenting plan (although it was made four years ago, so it isn't that strong with details). He doesn't let Makayla see her moms side of the family so I give up some of my time so they can see her because I know how much they love each other. Paul (Makaylas step dad) has spanked her for needing to use the restroom late at night; Mak has had stomach problems so that really made me angry. Takes her outside in the cold to preach the gospel at schools, other churches, Camas days, Husky Stadium in Seattle, and I'm sure other places that I don't know of. He has been in the paper and on the news so I have proof. He is controlling and it is not healthy for Makayla. I have nothing wrong or against the Bible and going to church but she is a kid and doesn't need to be force fed it at five years old. Even him telling her she needs to call him dad has really upset me. If she wants to than so be it but she doesn't want too.
I tried being nice and keeping joint custody but she is five and starting Kindergarten next year. They want to home school her and I won't allow that. Kids need to socialize and she absolutely loves school, being in pre school the last two years.
I will never take her away from her mom and I will never say anything bad abut her. But this is for Makaylas future and health before Paul ruins things even more. Even if this money allows me to afford an attorney for 60/40 custody I would greatly appreciate it. Custody is hard to win being the Father so thats why I need an attorney. They tried fighting me for custody a year ago and I fought it and won. Neither of us had lawyers but I know it will help and Im not messing around anymore.
